Spencer's Mountain. It was a Henry Fonda film before my time but I loved it the first time I saw it and thought I wanted to be a part of their family. I was maybe 8 or 9.

  • Earl Hamner's first attempt to get the "Waltons" on the screen. He later incorporated two or three of the "Spencer's Mountain" incidents into the "Walton's" series. One of the more memorable ones was the drunk preacher that everybody ostracized.

  • I haven't seen a movie that depicts life the way I'd like to see it.
