Every day, I struggle with trying to figure out what others are saying. A lot of my work is over the telephone and I talk with people from all over the country. I usually get it right because I know what they're calling for, it's the details I have to nail. I just repeat back to them and get confirmation.
I have always had a habit of mimicking any people's accents and often do it without thinking....it's quite addictive and I get such wierd looks if you speak to that person again some later and forget and use my normal voice......:)
