    Well, since dawn is defined by the position of the sun relative to the horizon, if dawn were never to come, we would be in deep do-do.

    I've never been to Alaska tom. Have you? Alaskans apparently have six months of light and six months of dark. What would be easier to live in (awkward sentence structure I know)....perpetual dark or perpetual light? Thank you for your reply! :)

    Perpetual light would have the advantage of being something you could at least temporarily escape---I am not sure how one could light up the whole outside if we were in perpetual dark.

    And then that doesn't even deal with how we would replace the other beneficial energy forms that the earth receives from the sun.
