What are some common misconceptions about people who are born and raised in the Northern United States? ~

We're supposed to be courteous, reserved and mild-mannered.  My mom's mom's side of the family mostly live in Minnesota and whoever came up with "Minnesota nice" obviously never spent a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner with that branch of my family tree.  Usually they just spend their time trolling each other but a couple of times their conversation ended with a fist fight and someone getting a black eye.

We all love snow!!!  It's nice to look at .. but a pain to drive in!!

They are more in a rush then their neighbors below them.  Actually, it's pretty true.  But there are speedfreaks in Florida too.
