Seeing the Rockie Mountains for the first time. It not only took my breath away, but it also brought tears to my eyes. :)

I kinda did too ru. In 2005 we helped our son move from Santa Monica, California to Denver, Colorado where he lived for two years before he move to Honolulu. We caravanned there and had a trailer hitched to our car on which his motorcyle was chained. His best friend drove our son's fiancee's car and our son and his fiancee drove a huge moving van! I had never seen the Rockies in person...just on movie screens or TV. Breathtaking doesn't begin to cover it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to you! :)

You're welcome. I was on a motorcycle trip to Glacier Park Montana and that is where I first sighted the mountains. I was overwhelmed by emotion. It's a memory that's as vivid now as it was years past. Seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time runs a close second. Have a happy Friday. :)
