    Chocolate wasn't introduced to the Middle East until around the 1700's. Spanish Conquistador Don Hernán Cortés brought cocoa beans back to Spain in 1528 and very gradually spread across Europe, reaching England in the 1650s. The first person to put a recipe for "brownies" was Fanny Farmer, who adapted her cookie recipe in 1896.

    I like to think he did. And I like to think that when he fed all those people with a couple of fish and a loaf of bread he preformed another miracle and made one tray of special, brownies be enough for a desert for everybody. Cheers!
