Discussion»Questions»Current Events and News» Why are children like Olivia Jade Giannulli described as "Internet influencers"? Does anybody actually care what she thinks or says?
I did not even recognize her name. When I looked her up, of course, I then knew of her -- but only because of her parents. She certainly does not influence me. I've neither read nor seen a single word she's ever said or written but I admit I don't stay hooked into the internet world so much.
I guess I sort of wonder -- was she an internet influence before the college admissions scandal? If not, she should maybe then thank her parents again. ;) Bad Taste Joke, I know. :)

At least she seems to think so, eh, Stu? Lost in the social media generation is a gaggle of shallow drones who give undue heed to the self-important musings of vain, entitled brats like Miss Giannulli. Raised in their phony world absent real jobs, gossiping on the web is contrived as work. Complete with impressive sounding phony job title.
