Why was the media so quiet about Trump's immigration speech, especially fact-checking all the lies he told about Obama and Hillary?

I watched Twitter. There was not one story from even one tweet from the main media. I'm talking about CNN, ABC, Reuters, Associated Press, NYT, Washibgton Post, etc. you get the point.

Finally, today, I found one story that fact-checked the speech in the Huffington Post this morning. But no American media. Wowza!

    Really? The BBC had an American commentator dismissing Trump's comments within an hour of him making them. I found the following on your NPR website just a few hours later: http://www.npr.org/2016/08/31/492096565/fact-check-donald-trumps-speech-on-immigration I thought I also saw something on the Washington Post site, but I may have been mistaken.

    This NPR article is a poorly written one, that affirms Trump's speech on immigration instead of giving just the facts. It did not cover all the lies he told. I call this biased reporting. Then it starting attacking Obama and Hillary. This is not what the public is looking for in looking for checking facts of the speech. I give them a D-.

    The Washington Post had nothing on Twitter.
