For those here who are unmarried or unattached, when in your life did you make that decision?

When I was quite young still and was told not to waste my hard earned money on such man made nonsense...
Why waste countless thousands of pounds on just one knight of drinking when you can spend at your leisure buying shoes.....:)D   

I never actually made the decision,  addiction to alcohol made the decision for me. Couple of ladies I had become somewhat attached to were alcoholically inclined but i decided that was no way to live in a relationship. I quit the sauce a few years ago and have a close friendship with a gal I am quite goodly compatible with. 

I never made that decision.  It just turned out that way.

I had enough of partners.  I would rather tough it out alone than deal with another ego.  I've had enough.  

I said yes, but no formal ceremony ever happened. 

I don't know that it's a permanent decision, but after my long, unhappy marriage ended, I haven't been interested in going down that road again.
