Both. I like help, but over there.

Stay out of my way. Small kitchen. Another person would wreck the timing. In cooking...timing is everything.

    I'm not the best cook.

And I can't help it . . . I keep getting in his way. But he likes me to.

And I know you will not be surprised in the least - - I did not notice at all the actual label of the bottle he is holding.

It does look like he's ready to take a swig.

I am a trained observer...20 years Navy, 20 years teaching. Actually I drink Italian dressing from the bottle. And bleu cheese.

Oh, wow -- yes, that's definitely a lot of necessary keen observing!

Do you really drink those from the bottle? I think I'd prefer the bleu cheese maybe.

Yes...I really do. By the way, Kroger brand dressings are better in my opinion. Once, my wife asked me to buy a name brand. I can't remember what it was, but it was crappy and I never used it again. We ended up dumping it down the drain.

I'll remember that about Kroger. In fact, i still have money to use on a gift card from Kroger's that I received.

I was planning on using/splurging a lot of the card on pomegranate juice, though -- another recent-to-me lovely new taste. Pricey little item - -like $5 for a little-ish bottle of it.

    No.
Our kitchen is tiny, more like a ketch's galley, no room to move without getting in each other's way.

I'm also not keen on guests washing up in the kitchen. They mean well but put things away in all the wrong places. For days after they've left, I can't find the implements I need when preparing food.

I was cooking a dinner for us (Me, my wife and sister-in law), and I was shuffling pans, knifes, utensils etc. We also have a small kitchen. The meal had to be perfectly timed. They decided to help. I tried to shoo them away, but they just nudged me out of the way. I told them about the timing and headed upstairs to come here. When they called me down to eat, they had botched the meal. I told them so. Now my wife only helps when I ask and I get out of her way.

It depends on whom I'm working with and how much space there is.
