I need to briefly describe my 'Transportation' question

My question revolves around drivers with vehicles featuring VERY darkly-tinted windshields and VERY darkly-tinted driver-side windows.

For me as a driver, some situations can occur where, for safety reasons, the ability to actually VISUALLY see another vehicle's driver is optimally beneficial. And when I literally cannot see a vehicle's driver, I sort of hesitate.

I hope drivers in such vehicles realize no one can see them.

Perhaps my thoughts on this just make me an ineffective driver?

Yeah, that example I posted in the image is a bit extreme example I admit. Any of the tinted windows seem dark to me almost.

I guess I might say I think windows should be all-the-way clear if we're all on the roads together. Seeing each other clearly seems important. But I figure there are probably valid reasons others have such "tints."

I suspect that in warm climates, tinted windows keep the car cooler.

That's why I got mine tinted ... and I'm not even in a "warm climate".
The tinting also blocks UV, which helps the interior colors resist fading.

Mine are just plain, but I do understand.  I park indoors, so I don't worry about fading.

    Makes sense.
My car gets uncomfortably hot in even not-so-hot weather.

I guess it's good I asked my question, hadn't really thought about the details of it all. Now I'm feeling a bit on the dumb side.

Chalk me up as an idiot again.

My car is d*** hot, too, until the air conditioner kicks in.

    No tinted windows, though . . hmm . .  maybe . . .
    :)
