What one discovers on trying it is quite the opposite. An environmentally sustainable lifestyle is cheaper, healthier, and more comfortable and beautiful.
There are people who do it and assume that EVERYONE ELSE must also do it.
There are people who do it and assume that those who do not do it are wrong.
That for one's own convenience, it's okay to use certain plastics and/or other materials that are potentially destructive to the environment.
That shaming people into following one's own agenda is perfectly fine.
That one's "environmental footprint" is lessened effectively by practicing ecologically-conscious acts only every now and then, or only when others are looking.
