What is a song, that when you hear it, you either immediately change the station or turn the radio off because you hate the song?

I'll answer my own question.

I like Bread's sound. Those other songs I know, too but have not ever really listened closely. In fact, none of these I've listened to a lot. But recognize them.
    :)

Your explanations on each are priceless.

Goodness - that would be very inconvenient!  But most stations like that as I recall I never liked most of the songs.  So eventually I figured why listen to them for hours only to hear a couple I did like?  So I bought the ones I liked and listened to them on my own.  Now I only listen to classical music stations or occasionally a Christian station on radio.  Sometimes jazz.

    You make good points.
    :)

I like the randomness of radio - - when a song pops up I really like, unexpectedly - - I like that.
    :)

(Three "like's" in one sentence, whoa.)

Anything Jesus or Country.  Good bye.

Anything RAP or crackling from Tijuana.  Goodbye.

Anything that has some 20 year old moron singing the same thing some 20 year old moron sang the year before because it all sounds the same.

So, maybe that is why I never listen anymore to the radio. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at July 29, 2019 8:24 PM MDT

How did you survive the late 80s when the Schlock, Aching and Wateringcan sausage machine was cranking?
