From the fact it has a neon light like color temp to it. It seems to glow kinda from the flulroescence . Yes pure neon gas gives off a reddish orange( more orange actually) color, but "neon lights" can be in any color through doping the gas inside them and in reality its mostly doped argon and xenon usually. Many colors can be created by doping the gas with phosphors.
Also neon can produce green light hen doped with a small amount of argon and krypton.
All that may be true, but I was specifically asking about NEON, not mixtures or phosphors or colored glass tubes. There are no green neon lights or tee shirts or sneakers.
It's just the hip name for one of the colours in the 2019 fashion palette - an extremely bright green hue butting up next to its colour-wheel neighbour, lime green.
Back when I was a teenager it was called psychedelic or acid green.
