This is not interns not volunteers. Unionized campaign workers. Bernie is disappointed they voiced their complaint in public. O_O

Anyone else think he is toast?

To what union do campaign workers belong?

I do not know. But according to both Sanders and Elizabeth Warren their campaign workers are part of a recognized union. Warren brags that her campaign was first to unionize.

United Food and Commercial Workers Local 400

The agreement has provisions ensuring that the campaign will pay the entire health insurance premiums of any worker paid under $36,000, according to Jonathan Williams, communications director at UFCW Local 400. There's also a pay limit for top campaign officials — no one in campaign management can make more than three times the highest-paid worker in the bargaining unit. (However, outside consultants wouldn't fall under this provision, Williams said.)

Thank you.  I couldn't imagine what union that would be.

I believe the story mentions that there is a Campaign Workers group that is not a union, itself ... but has helped workers in 25 campaigns join unions.

I honestly didn't think that there was a need for a union for campaign workers.  I  guess I think of them as being mostly volunteers.

What in the blue blazes are you talking about? You were just ragging that Bernie didn't pay minimum wage and now you are.

....it helps no one.  This is the story in real life too.  Businesses have an amount to spend on labor and if government raises the hourly wage, the number of employees or number of hours will decrease.  This is just too much common sense for many of our brothers and sisters.

    You're reaching.

I guess I should be thankful that you aren't talking about Obama or Hillary.

How do you feel about Trump not paying his contractors?

Everyone should be paid if they worked.

And if you support $15.00/hr for years...you should be paying that amount for years.
