Would you survive it?

You would have to pay me to go. I had to google two and I am not a big Clapton fan. I would definately survive.

I prefer Hendrix, Slash, Randy Rhodes, Kirk Hammett for guitar.

I googled. I am not a fan of Dire Straits at all. Pink Floyd is good.

  • Didn't Eric Clapton used to be God or something?  Seems I heard that before.

Of all those classic rock guys I think Lindsey Buckingham is a great guitarist

and an excellent producer.  Woefully underappreciated.

I've always particularly liked Lindsey Buckingham's solo stuff.
    :)

    This one's "Bang the Drum."

  • All my answerMug swag.

Those guys are all before my time mostly - But I’m so burnt out on most contemporary stuff I’d probably go just to hear something different.

Hundreds. Knopfler in particular is a virtuoso - he gets away with being completely unable to sing because of what he can do with the Schecter. The pickup is so sensitive that he hardly needs to use his right hand at all - hitting the strings on the frets is enough.

"Mark Knopfler has an extraordinary ability to make a Schecter Custom Stratocaster hoot and sing like angels on a Saturday night, exhausted from being good all week and needing a stiff beer." - Douglas Adams, So Long and Thanks For All the Fish.

I love them all.  But can I just have the CD? And I'll take a DVD of the live show.

I would prefer Jimmy Page and Jack White.  The Edge can come too.
