How is ruthless capitalism consistent with Christianity?

 You just give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar. Modern capitalism is much more complex than in the 'New Testament' days.

"Capitalism" has never been properly defined. Karl Marx didn't invent the word, but he was the first to use it a lot. He needed a strawman to compare his theory of socialism to, and capitalism was the word he chose. The only adequate definition is "the way we do things in the west." It certainly has no connection to free market.

"Christianity" is likewise a generally misunderstood word. A lot of people conflate Judaism with Christianity even though they have very little connection. Most Americans don't know any more than what they have heard from some "hellfire and brimstone" preacher, and non-Americans often don't even know that much.

I have no information about "ruthless capitalism". You are on your own with that one.

Apples and oranges: capitalism is an economic system. Christianity is spiritual discipline.
