I call mine a two-way radio.

Do you mean my walkie talkie?
    ;)

(Yeah, I call mine a cell phone.)

I hate the term walkie-talkie. It sounds silly and in the Navy you would get smacked by a Radioman for saying it.

I can understand that and I respect that, too.
    :)

The only reason I mentioned it was because of one of my favorite comedians . . . Brian Regan. Give him a listen here, if you get the chance and if you haven't heard this before. It's really short, too.
    :)

EDIT: Darn it, Element 99   the one time I REALLY want to post a video and it won't. But here's a link -- I promise it's a link to a youtube video of Regan. if not, I highly recommend you go to youtube and type in Brian Regan Walkie Talkie -- its literally just a minute long. Be Well,   - back to work for me.

I opened it by the link you enclosed.  It was really funny.  Don watched it, too.  He didn't have a choice because he's sick and laying right next to me and is VERY glad he is!  This little video is the ONLY thing that has made him laugh all day!  Thanks Welby! :) :)

I'm glad Don laughed! Give him my best! (But he already heard me probably since I was talking out loud just now.)

. . . and you made me think of the Pet Shop Boys' kick a** cover of the Village People's "Go West"- - Twinkle Dink, you MUST give this a listen if you haven't heard the Pet Shops Boys' song here!
    :)
    :)
One of my favorite covers of any covers I've heard.
    :)

    A fun music video, too.
    :)

oh, and hot guys in it . . . ;)

  • Yes, I know it well.  I love it.
As far as I'm concerned the Pet Shop Boys can do no wrong.
    Good one, Welby!  As always.

    Thanks, Twinkle Dink.
Yup, we're together on this, too - - and we're right -- The Pet Shop Boys, indeed, can do no wrong.

I just heard Pet Shop Boys coming home from Rite Aid this morning.
I think the name of the song is "West End Boys"??  Anyway, I've always liked to the song and the group, themselves! :) :)

Goodness, I hope it was Pet Shop Boys.  If not, I've made a complete Merlin Goof on this... But, I'm pretty sure I am right,... right????? This post was edited by Merlin at August 10, 2019 7:11 PM MDT

I bet you heard The Pet Shop Boys' "West End Girls" - - yup, I like that one, too! They're a group I like a lot.
    :)

EDIT: And especially those moments at 0:32 to 0:40-ish minute/second mark- - in the video as they're walking across the street - - I love the music there for some reason. And I like the moments in the video, too.
    :)

This was exactly the song!  Thank you Welby.
I love this!  You are so cool!  You should be a vj or a dj.  I'm tellin' ya~ The variety and the knowledge you have on music of all types is phenominal and a great personality to match.  Sorry for the spelling mistake.  I can't get grammical to work for some reason.  It drives me crazy.  Back to the subject... Thanks again Welby! :) :)

If we can't laugh at ourselves we need to adjust our attitudes.  :)
