  • The Procter & Gamble Company's Crest toothpaste brand is not affected by the FDA import and health alert. Crest does not import toothpaste manufactured in China to the U.S. All Crest toothpaste sold in the U.S. is manufactured in North America, the majority at our facility in Greensboro, NC.

That's all The Invisible Hand is letting me answer for now.

If they had bbq duck and cheap noodles than fine. I would be curious about different foods. Other than that would tick me off. Enough and I would start my own grocer store. Capitalism would dictate that if their is a demand than become the supply.
crisis is an opportunity we would be rich.

  • Health food shop. Locally made. The toilet paper is from recycled office paper.

For cleaning products I use soap, vinegar, and bi-carbonate of soda - this works out healthier, more effective, less polluting and very much cheaper (15% of cost of commercial products).

I don't see it as inferior or superior. My choices are preferable for me according to my values.

Amercian stores here in Australia are very damaging to our economy - they take our hard earned money off shore and don't pay the millions in taxes that they owe. With few exceptions, the products themselves are mostly bad for people's health and the packaging when tossed out thoughtlessly pollutes and damages the environment.

I do not mean this to be offensive to Americans because none are responsible as individuals. I see the responsibility as partly that of the lack of conscience of big corporations, partly that of Australian consumers, and partly that of the Australian government for allowing the companies to keep their accounts off shore in tax avoidance havens. Fortunately there is evidence that a shift is starting to take place in the last two.

What you choose for groceries in your own country is as it should be, and it is your absolute right.

There isn't an American grocery chain store in my neighbourhood that I'm aware of. I don't remember there ever being one here.
