How did ancient folks, pre-history, cut/trim their hair/nails?

Bite and broken.

They clawed their way through the mane, and were braided as a result. Oh wear wear did my nail go when against a rock orhard place.  A biting question with a few breaks I believe

They got mates.  And tribes and friends.  My guess is that is how they paired off and helped each other.  The first massage.

And that is how they groomed each other.  I doubt if they cut anything and I doubt if they cared about the length or beauty of their nails.

With knives, I'd assume. Sounds very imprecise and dangerous. lol

Some primitive societies used the sharpened edge of seashells to shave, even comparitively recently. Nails they bit.

Laying their fingers face up flat on a hard surface they might have got someone to chisel the tips off using a sharp edged stone and a rock for a hammer.
