You went back and read it again, didn't you?

My mother was a newspaper story proofreader. I have some of her genes.

    Because I'm a human ass.

EDIT: It took me at least four times to keep reading it to even understand what you talking about. (Or is that "about which you were talking"? I'm unsure about that, too.)

EDIT #2: Definitely I'm a rear end -- I'll leave that first EDIT as is, I guess -- terrible grammar there that I didn't catch, as in "What you talkin' about?" Geez. what an ass.

Just a guess, but I think the human brain filters out that which is unnecessary when you "know" what the writer means.  Similarly, that is why I sometimes don't catch a mistake when I'm posting, even when I go back to read it before I hit reply.  I know what I meant to say and therefore, I skip the mistake.  I usually catch it right after I hit post. :)

I made mistakes all over the place in this thread, from the moment I tried to figure out what Slartibartfast's question was even about.

If I knew that, I'd be a stable genius.  Ask THE THE Donald.

It is our brain filtering the unnecessary word out of our vision.  I brain does this all the time to help make sense of our world.
