Do you view Answermug could be a place for people to evolve into a state of some sort of perfection.. eventually?

Providing they stick around to speak, listen and learn...

I'm going to stick around for the next 10,000 years and see.

  • I don't think there's enough time left in the Universe for that.

The  intelligence  bar is getting lower and lower.  That happens with censorship.  Every time.

That's the theory behind it, anyway... maybe not the site itself, but that through the sharing of ideas, we'll all become more aware of the world around us.

And, to clarify, we don't censor things for being unpopular opinions. We remove hate speech, personal attacks, illegal content, bad language, and nudity. That's about it. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect people to keep their comments focused on the topic at hand and use facts. Looking over the list of removals, we pull or edit for language, on average, slightly less than one comment, question, or image a day. Considering the vast amounts of content that get added to the site every day... my word, we're talking less than 0.001% of the stuff that gets added gets touched by a mod or admin.
