If there were a god, we would’ve been given clear, workable instructions on how to manage the earth, not inane prohibitions on mixed fabrics and shellfish.
Because adults still submit to pronouncements of barely literate ancient men who knew nothing about the world, the cosmos or the fundamentals of life, and invented gods to explain what they couldn’t understand, humanity remains thwarted by a litany of backward belief systems mired in Dark Ages ignorance.
No, American voters who don’t bother to get themselves informed or take their own governance seriously, are to credit/blame for Trump ascending to the post he is so completely disgracing. No god had anything to do with it; people who believe there is one did.

I never stopped caring -- and this man's so-called motto rang false to me ever since he made it all about him; in his behavior alone, he certainly has done little to make me believe he believes his own motto.
(my opinion; I realize many others disagree -- I live around many of them and see them all around me)
