Egypt is the oldest known. Various city-states are believed to have been established in the Mesopotamia region in the late Neolithic period, but nothing is known about them until the rise of Ur, more than 2000 years after the various settlements along the Nile river formed upper and lower Egypt.

Africa....they say it's where all human life orinanated from....I'll have to ask my great grand parents to check out these facts though....they are jogging on a bit ,but surely must remember....:)
Africans come from the continent of Africa just as Europeans come from Europe and Asians come from Asia, but more specifically and as an example, Kenyans come from Kenya and are there both Kenyan and African.
