Discussion»Questions»Current Events and News» I have one friggin day off and I have to get my car fixed. What FUN and productive things can I do while waiting in the WAITING ROOM??????
Well, it is 1,000 degrees outside. So, I cannot walk anywhere. And I don't even know if AutoZone is walking distance from anything. A BOOK? Oh man. I have not read stuff in so long, I don't think I can sit still that long any more. I need a plan here. A PLAN.
It's going to be a good hour. Maybe they have TV. I'm pathetic.
I lived in books my entire life. Then my eyes went wacko. I have had cataract surgery and they put contact lenses in my eyes that are permanent. So, I cannot see close up. I have far sightedness where I once had near sightedness. So, I would pick up a book before and SEE the words. Now, I have to find reading glasses which are never close by and I go around and around with that nonsense.
Reading is starting to be a hassle. And I used to love to read. It was kind of my life.
If they have TV, you can turn on Fox News and yell at the screen. You can watch YouTube videos on your phone. You can walk up to random people and tell them they look tense and offer to give them a massage for $20. You can take a long nap - this happens all the time in the waiting room where I volunteer.
I would like to do a dollar a minute somewhere. There are portable massage chairs and I have one. But, you can't just set up and start charging people. There are laws or I'd be rich already.
But 20 bucks is a nice tip for an hour and a fair tip for 80 minutes.
I think that was the theme song to the Patty Duke Show. Circa 1964 or so. Let's get together. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Oh wait. Wrong twin story. This is Haley Mills when she played twins, not Patty.
That would be so great if it was easy on my iPhone. It doesn't work well. Or that would be a no-brainer. I am back home already. It was pretty painless, aside from insane traffic here all of a sudden, it was pretty painless.
