why does my cat want my ginger ale so bad

He would rather have some Vernor's Ginger Ale. Better flavor. I've had Canada Dry and Schwepps. They are basically just plain carbonated water. No ginger flavor. 

Because its shiny and he doesn't SHE doesn't know what to do about it.  New thing.  Is it alive?  Can I eat it?  No smell?  The hell with it.  

He doesn't.
He's mesmerised by an unusual object.
He doesn't know what's inside it.
If he tasted the ginger-ale, he'd either turned up his nose and walk away
or sneeze and try to shake it off his tongue.

Cats dislike sugar and hot-spicey tastes. They like salty and slightly bitter and sour flavours.
