Jesus rarely used scare tactics. God is LOVE and has an enormous capacity for forgiveness - provided the sinner is truly contrite.

Jesus never used scare tactics. He was the Truth and sometimes the truth can be scary, because we are sinners, and live in darkness. Jesus is the Light, the Life and the Truth, and when his light shinned in the darkness, the darkness didnt comprehend it. That is why he supplied us with a helper to endure the narrow road to salvation that leads to eternal life with God. He doesnt wish for anyone to perish, but he will not compromise with sin because he is Holy. He showed us we can become Holy too, by coming down to Earth and becoming flesh like us, and instructing us in the ways of living in the Spirit and not in the Flesh, because he as a Man, also had to endure temptation and live in the will of his Father, not his own will. It couldnt be a more loving gift, free to all who choose to accept this gift of life, by repenting of sin, and following his example.

For countless millions of people in so many countries on this earth ,just surviving another day is pure hell...No food ,no water, yet their governments spend billions on their armies and live the life of  of luxury

Such a nice person God for letting it all happen....

    Hey Carbonproduct
    nice to see you around.
    ...Eternal Beings...our Soul Never dies
must be realized, must be known, must be experienced
    to understand completely.
Problem is many have not gone beyond their Ego
so...that's all they see. The illusion is strong
and hold many people in it's grip.
But the light of the Truth shines through
if we open our hearts. Yes?

  • If we are internal beings as created by God then I have some serious beef about that with him/her.

    BECAUSE.

I think ANY person of conscience, that includes dogmatic, slavish to the BIBLE and what they think it means, EVANGELICALS....

ANY ONE WITH A BRAIN understands that Eternity has NO END.

WHY would a GOD in His infinite mercy take a SOUL that he created and make that SOUL who is a part of GOD endure suffering of ANY kind that conisists of putting that soul on EARTH and giving him one .0000000001 percent of a chance at getting his life right?  Despite ALL obstacles he may have for no reason except to put him in hell for all eternity if he commits a mortal sin?

GET A LIFE and know that it will not be your ONLY life. We go on and on and on and on until we get it RIGHT.

GOD IS MERCIFUL  GOD IS ALWAYS THERE. AND WE ARE IMMORTAL SOULS . WE DO NOT EVER GO TO HELL FOR ETERNITY.

FIND OUT WHAT ETERNITY EVEN MEANS.

Because even those who believe in an afterlife ... the human mind has a difficult time comprehending large numbers.
("eternity" and "infinity" don't really register on the human mind as more than words)

    EDIT:
And the theory of reincarnation always reminds me of the 1991 movie Defending Your Life

Being an eternal being doesn't automatically mean hell exists.  Reincarnation or something completely different are also possibilities if we're eternal beings but if hell is eternal punishment then the punishment doesn't fit the crime.  At the point where the amount of suffering experienced by a soul in hell exceeds the amount of suffering caused by the person in their life is the point where hell becomes an unjust punishment.
