Think of the person, or the people who you “almost” married, would have married, etc. Looking back, is it better that it didn’t happen?

I can name at least four or five women in my past who fit this bill in my life. Not one of those marriages would have turned out well, now that hindsight is my guide.

What do you mean by that?  I sense a double meaning to your question.  :  I

"What do you mean by that" is a double-edged sword. Your answer could start world war 111 or make the night absolutely wonderful.

Tread carefully with that question.  hahahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What do I mean by which part; the question or the comment?

(By the way, almost everything l post has a double meaning to it, if you know what I mean by that. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

There's no way to know for sure, but I feel sure about one of them and it would have been both heaven and hell.  After twenty-something years he and I are in frequent contact now.

I never wanted to be married.  I never got married. And now, when I see the couples who've made it, I think they have something I should have worked hard to experience.

  • i see people like that too, but when I watch them they seem to be working so hard on whatever it is they have.

    It just makes me wonder.

I've been married once and we are on our 45th year.  There was one other but, since the average marriage in the US only lasts eight years, the chances are that my marriage to that other one would not have lasted, or been as happy as my marriage to the one I chose.

    None.
In my circles, most people didn't marry.
Even the man who is now my husband didn't think to ask for 19 years.

Some would have worked out, some would not have.  Still talk to one who has known me since grade school.  We are still good friends, however at a fork in the road she went left and I went right, no harm no foul.  We both admit if we had not taken the turns it probably would have been a good marriage.

There are four parts to a marriage, nd most folks only focus on #1

    1. Lovers
    2. Friends
    3. Roommates
    4. Business partners - yes marriage is a business

All pieces have to b in sync otherwise a disaster will happen - aka Divorce or worse

I have had past relationships that would NOT have worked if I had gotten married.  I mean if it didn't work; we did NOT stay together, so why would marriage make it better?

    Huh?

Typical Libra.  What if, there was someone BETTER?

I had one of youse for a boyfriend.  Always comparing.  Let him compare someone else.  I don't have the time.
