Safety features on cars improve every year. If you’ve ever been in a car accident, what is a safety feature that didn’t exist then but you

wish it had been available?

I was driving an older pickup truck that didn't have a headrest.  I was rear-ended by a drunk driver going very fast.  A DUI roadblock was just being set up for people coming down from the casino up the hill. They got him just after he hit me. The back of my head hit the window. An officer said I was lucky sometimes a person's head will go right through the glass, severing their spinal column.  I thank the Lord, for again, saving me from harm.

Do you know how they work? Great for preventing a 360 on ice, which I did. The car didn't have those brakes. My young son was in the car. Fortunately it was early morning and all we did was run into the curb. No traffic.

Yes ,I know how they work.....they don't actually lock the wheels....they let the wheel with no traction slip partly ...they also put on the brake and release it quickly to prevent the car skidding....once you are in a skin....it's nearly impossible to steer...in any skid ,ease your foot of the brakes to gain control again....you have to do it instantly though Master Brakes.....:)

Air bags would likely have saved my neck and prevented stitches.
