If I fired a pistol and then stuck it in my waistband like on TV, wouldn't I get burned?

I would hope not but I think so.  It might depend on the size of the gun and your belt.

Depending on how many shots were fired, yes, very likely you would.

    Not a normal handgun.

A .44 gets about 42 degree warmer after about 18 rounds.  Warm but not burning temp.

A military rifle after firing many rounds the barrel end can be cherry red.

Also normally someone who carries their weapon this way has a holder in the pants which would absorb any heat generated from firing.

That’s right; if you’ve never seen it, that means it’s never happened.

That is a comment more likely directed to a Trump voter.  Not me.  I am just saying that if you say "like on TV" it is assumed everyone knows this.  I DO NOT.  Not that it doesn't exist.  But it is not something normal, like on TV because I have watched TV a lot.  OKAY?????

Don't assume. It makes an ass of you and me.

I never understood why that saying ever caught on.
If somebody else makes an assumption - it doesn't make ME an ass.  lol
