I am about 50% silver at this point, but I have no intention of coloring my hair. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the way my hair looks, and no one believes I'm 74, so it's au natural for me.
If I had silver, I'd be thrilled. I have CELLOPHANE. I swear, it has no color and it looks like I am bald. I love beautiful greys. I don't have that luxury. I look bald and I have a ton of hair, that is how clear the strand is. Grrrrrr. As Randy is fond of saying. So, I am talking about the temples in the question, but the rest of the hair on the top of my head? Cellophane. That I will cover with normal brown. Otherwise it will look ghetto. Old and ghetto? - Homeless. I don't want that look. LOL The trick is to make this look shiny. If it is dull and blue, it will look awful. I have to look like I did this on purpose.
I was going to say that it probably wouldn't work, but I didn't realize you knew color. I was experimenting with this stuff earlier this year. I couldn't get my grays to take the color. It looked so awkward because I initially did highlights and colored them blue. They actually turned green, but then I still had all the gray. So, I put blue everywhere and the grays stayed gray, my regular brown stayed brown, and the blue turned turquoise.
I delved into henna a couple weeks ago. Now, that, I am loving. It covered up the grays really well and the color is a beautiful natural red. I look very Irish.
Anywho, I'm a bit jealous you got blue to work, but I bet it looks awesome.
WHAT THE HECK? You need blonde things not blue or green or anything like that. NOOOOOO. The only reason I can get away with this is because my hair is so dark, I have just a hint of color in the highlights when it hits the light. Those rainbow things are for Beyonce' and Pink and the like. Meaning, they have stylists 24/7 and they can condition the heck out of it and keep it up and change it and not have to look like a fright wig. And even then, a lot of times it looks bad. So you need shine and close enough highlights to your own light color. Maybe pink here and there. Maybe.
WHY? WHAT IDEA DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HEAD THAT WOULD WORK? UNLESS YOU ARE ON STAGE, THOSE PASTELS LOOK HORRID ON ANYONE. I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL OR NOT. THEY LOOK TERRIBLE AFTER ONE DAY. THEY GET DULL AND THOSE COLORS ARE NOT MADE FOR HUMAN SKIN TO CONTRAST AGAINST. IT IS HARSH. SO, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE A ROCK STAR AND HAVE THE MONEY FOR A STYLIST? GIVE THAT ONE UP. YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR DARK FIRST AND THEN PUT BLUE OVER IT. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WON'T LOOK BETTER IF YOU JUST LEFT IT ALONE.
#1 I had a pastel blue wig and it made my eyes look really cool. #2 I didn't dye my hair pastel blue. I used Punky Colors Blue Lagoon, which is supposed to look like almost a royal blue on light hair. #3 YOU and I talked about this BEFORE I started messing with dye and YOU approved of it then. :o Here's a direct quote: "OH JA YOU GOTTA DO IT. That picture looks phenomenal and I know you know enough about hair products to make sure it looks shiny. Nothing looks more gorgeous than these colors (pastels especially) when they shine with glossy health." https://answermug.com/forums/topic/71549/have-any-of-you-lightened-bleached-your-hair-what-was-the-expe#siteforum_post_575415
All the more reason to dye it blue. It looks wonderful. Red is old and tired.

Your advice is not gay. Gay would be how to style it and color it to match my skin tone. That is the gay coming out. You are just poking fun. Funny, but not gay. They take GLAM dead seriously.
