The whole concept is fantasy and nothing good will come of it because of the distance. You can't touch these people whenever you want. You can't kiss these people whenever you want. None of it is real until both of you are together permanently. Trust me on this. I had to learn the hard way several times.

To some degree, it is "writer's choice: (Generally), hyphenate two or more words when they come before a noun they modify and act as a single idea.

Generally, hyphenate two or more words when they come before a noun they modify and act as a single idea. This is called a compound adjective. When a compound adjective follows a noun, a hyphen is usually not necessary. Example: The apartment is off campus.

I know---I was just emphasizing that after posting a list of 2 word compound adjectives that you added a list of greater than 2 word compound adjectives proving that again you are a grammar expert.

Thank you!  However, "expert" is a bit much. We here on the force prefer the term "nerd".

Yes. It's a descriptor of the noun that follows it, so it's presented as a two-word hyphenated term. Oops, there goes another one!

    two-man carry
    horse-drawn wagon
    wind-swept streets
    weather-beaten face
    case-hardened steel
    remote-controlled car
    wool-lined jacket
    shape-shifting beast
    turbine-propelled thrusters
    spelling-challenged people

I wasn't commenting on the hyphenation. I was asking if you meant long-distance instead of love-distance.
