I don't understand the craze right now about credit scores.  Someone is making money on it or it wouldn't exist.   The other one is the Epstein didn't kill himself thing...............it's everywhere!!!

    Of course, he didn't!!

Credit scores?  I didn't even know my credit played sports.  (although that might explain those strange charges to Sports-R-Us I keep getting)

Wealthy folks are the ones who invented the scores.  For the non.  If you have good credit, then you can let the wealthy lend you some of theirs.  They don't need any score.

I am in a position where I don't need credit.  I assume that wealthy people also don't need credit or have enough assets to secure any debts they choose to incur.

I would think they do. Better score means better interest rates and better insurance rates etc.

I am not (extremely) wealthy, and I pay little attention to my credit score. For many of my young adult years, I didn't even own any credit cards at all.  Both then and now, I rarely buy things on credit, I like to follow the if-I-can't-afford-to-buy-it,-then-I-can't-afford-to-buy-it-on-credit-either philosophy.

I do not know what the filthy rich think about their own credit scores.

Asked and answered, Counselor, asked and answered. Let's move on before the cafeteria runs out of one of my favorite desserts; chocolate cream pie.

Wealthy folks only care about themselves and nothing as trivial as credit scores.

You must not know "wealthy folks."

In my opinion, lumping all rich people into one narrow category like that and assigning a negative trait to them is no different than doing it with ethnicity or gender or nationality or beliefs as the common denominator. Not all rich people think exactly alike nor are they all good, all bad, etc.  There are some non-rich people who carry out the acts you allude to above.

I do not know to whom you are referring as being stupid, nor do I endorse that name-calling any more than I would paint a grouping of people into a pejorative light.  In other words, I ain’t co-signin’ with you on this one.

Stereotyping is stupid, ignorant, and a host of other descriptors......"regardless of the flavor."

Wealthy folks including Billionaires do care about their credit scores and the credit ratings of their Business Enterprises.  It affects their cost of doing business since they are the folks that  need the credit.  almost everything they or their business own is bought on Finance aka Leverage

I care about mine since it impacts any number of aspects of my life even though I have no debt per se
