They said he no longer does his official duties. (What the hell are those.) And he no longer receives his salary. WHAT. I actually never heard of him until this epstein thingy. He's dead, so who gives a crap.
It's all about money and nothing else....Who in their right mind would like to live like they have to? .In my parents home if you made a mess you cleared it up... The bile they will come out with trying to dumb it all down will be very amusing I think....
He should never ever just be let off the hook ,nomatter who he is or his parents are....
I think he pretty much did that when he agreed to be interviewed on TV. The Queen has already relieved him of his official duties and cut off his stipend.
I think their whole family's a bunch of sickos ....two much money ,educated at the most wierd closed doors private schools and never haveing to get their hands dirty is not good for anyone.... Who in their right mind would want a life like that. ....
Edward does earn a living - a successful journalist until his father's declining health forced him to adopt many of Philip's duties. The royals do provide patronage and the pageantry the Commonwealth (the former Empire) still seems to crave. And HM is a good ambassador. She may step in to prevent a no-deal Brexit, as she does retain the power to dismiss Parliament.
Personally, I wouldn't want to live like that, but when you're born into it, there isn't really much you can do about it without causing a real uproar. I'm sure it wasn't well-received when Edward, who would have ascended to the throne, renounced his position to marry Simpson.
It was more a case of abdicate or be bumped of by our secret service personal as the story goes....he was deemed a Nazi collaborator and why they changed their name from Gotha to Windsor In 1917 to pull more wool over the British publics eyes yet again....
Can you name just one of yours or our leaders that have been role models.....I can't think of one....Who ever you name will have something in their past to hide .All power corrputs eventually....I'm pretty sure of that and generally in politics it's a given.... Can you name and countries elected leader that don't have a well oiled pocket....
Probably not because we are all human and all humans have flaws. It's the extent to which those flaws go against the interests of the country versus the interests of the person. Yes, all power corrupts eventually which is why I believe in term limits. No one person should be in a political office for decades. In the case of the U.S., the Founding Fathers never intended for that to be the case.
True, but you have to combine that with changes to the campaign finance laws, the inability to lobby for ten years after service and a few other restrictions.
No, it isn't. I can only suggest how to fix what I know exists in my own country. If I was able to do that for the rest of the world, there wouldn't be any more wars. :)
Although the presidential term limit is a recent phenomenon, only enacted after FDR.

That's a gross oversimplification. In recent US history, presidents like Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, senators like Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Sam Ervin (he led investigations that brought down both McCarthy and Nixon), and house members like Shirley Chisholm were admirable individuals who kept their noses squeaky clean.
