Before I move to Canadiaville or Canadaland or whatever they call it, and marry Jaimie, what are some Canadian words I’ll need to learn? ~
P.S. Please quit telling me that English is spoken there. I’ve heard you talk, and that stuff is whack. We can’t very well have a marriage with an interpreter following us around 24/7.
“Randolph, it’s been a week and I’m ready to feed you, IF you behave. You know the rules: move away from the door and avert your eyes. You don’t want me to have to resort to the Taser the way I had to last time, do you?” ~
They pronounce progress always with a hard o. Americans only use that pronunciation for the verb form (They are progressing daily). We say we made praug-ress on our project. They would say they made pro-gress on their project.
Thank you, but we all know that no matter how they pronounce it, Canadoolians (or whatever they’re called) only use the word progress when enviously referring to their big brother country to their immediate south.
