I think you rely less on external forces for your happiness as you age. It becomes more of a matter of how you see yourself in the world and what sort of general outlook you have.
I agree Peas and I am happy today, who knows what tomorrow will bring.
I take every day that isn't bad as a "gift".
I think that age makes you withstand the little aggravations that bothered you as a younger person.
I agree and having a bad hair day does not have the same affect on me now like it did 30 years ago LOL.
Very true PeaPod. It's your choice actually. You choose how you react to life. Thank you for your reply! :)
Being here is better than the alternative. Knowing that gives one a great appreciation of every minutes of every hour of every day. Thank you for your reply PeaPod! :)
I remember those long-ago days when hair mattered so much. Then I got cancer when I was 70 and became bald. I survived a hairless 6 months. So hair is simply adornment. It does have one great value...it keeps your head warm. It shocked me how cold I was without hair even in the summer. Who knew? Thank you for your reply Lulu'sMom! :)
depends on the person, everyone is different
for me... yes.
as i get older
the attachments to stuff
are falling falling away, which means
a greater depth of consciousness
comes into view when meditating
each day.
...so every day i get a little happier.
I think that is very good Baba. I think that is exactly as it should be. That is also true for me. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I think maybe it is something you have to earn over time and cannot be conferred upon anyone. You have to pay your dues . No one can do it for you. :)
