"Victim of Love" - The Eagles (1976)

On the "Hotel California" LP album, written in the run out grove next to the record label is written " VOL is FPL"...... What's that mean ?

  • VOL appears to be an abbreviation for Victim of Love. Googling FPL comes up with nothing that makes sense.

One of my favourite things about vinyl records was this tendency to write weird and cryptic messages in the run-out grooves. I don't know what that one means though. Lol:)

  • What about the story you posted about the two Mexican transvestite midgets at the Flagstaff Days Inn ?

  • Victim of Love is " Five Piece Live". It was done in the studio, one take, no enhancement or fine tuning post production... The engineer  hit  " record " and the boys  busted it out.....Raw rock and roll !

  • I've been to Flagstaff, but never stayed at the Days Inn. The midgets were Swiss and I had no idea that they were transvestites. That explains the peculiar behavior. I was staying at the Holiday Inn in Phoenix. The midgets ran off with a photographer in Sedona who specialized in taking pictures of auras. My wife doesn't know about them. You'll protect my secret, right? BTW, those midgets sucked.
