I'm not sure that this site would ever develop into an arena of masterful debate.
How many here remember debating teams at school?
How many have watched competition debates?

There's an enormous array of debating tactics
but when it comes to formal debate there are rules,
and the argument may be won on lost
not by eloquence,
but by skilful use of facts and sound logic.
