I had no idea. Her name is Joy and you would never in a million years think she had a problem in the world! She is well-named. She is always upbeat and smiling and we hug! We see her weekly and so I always ask how she and her family are doing. Yesterday when I asked I saw shadow come over her face. I persisted and tomorrow she will find out if the "C" has returned. Multiple locations not just one. And so now she is on my mind and I am thinking about her constantly. So what I wonder is how do we ever know what others are going through? We don't. Maybe all the fear and hate is simply based on the desperate lives people are leading about which we know nothing. Maybe if we knew it would make a difference. Maybe not. SIGH. less
