Of course there was the infamous blacklisting of those with supposed Communist ties in the 50's. Russia was the big bad in those days. Not even those whose political views are in concert with theirs. Now WHY would they feel a need to keep it away from others' eyes? If it exists what's the problem in showing it when asked?
