    I've had to handle snappers on multiple occasions.  Usually it's in June when they are on the move to find a good place to lay their eggs.  This lady showed up a few...  moreI've had to handle snappers on multiple occasions.  Usually it's in June when they are on the move to find a good place to lay their eggs.  This lady showed up a few years ago after a bad hail storm.  Hard to tell from the pic but she was huge.  She decided digging a hole in my driveway in front of my garage was the best place to lay her eggs.  She was very heavy and it was quite the challenge to pick her up and find a place far enough away that was safe.
