I have done well to get to where I am today.  I am 'middle class America'. I own most of my house. (still paying on my mortgage)  I own stocks in my 401K plan at my job. It is a decent job, but I didn't always have good jobs! I spent 3 years working in a hospital laundry loading washing machines with sheets full of puke, adult diapers full of---------------- well, you know. All for minimum wage and no insurance. I never asked the govt. for a free ride.

I'm not in the 5%, but I have invested well.  I don't expect to ever be in the top 5%, nor do I need to be.  All I, and I'm pretty sure most of us, want is to live comfortably, be able to take care of our families, have a bit of money to use for having fun, be able to retire comfortably.  I live within my means and put money away for a rainy day.  People need to stop being jealous of the 5% and make decisions in their own lives that will allow them to succeed in life.  Yes, there is too big a disparity between the very rich and the very poor and the middle class is shrinking.  That said, we need candidates that will help the middle class and not the very wealthy who have more money than they would need in ten lifetimes.

And those who actually do know about finances believe his economy is based on very shaky ground, and with massive borrowing.. Not sustainable.
