It's a gloomy, rainy day. What are some songs I can listen to and fully embrace the mood?

Songs about sunshine and hope are not welcome here.

    JINX!!! This is my favorite Enya tune. I've spent many a day peering out my window on the mountain or strolling down the dirt roads with my headphones on lost in thought listening to this.

  • Aww!  I should have handed that song over to you for posting.  We do think alike so often.  That's one of the things I love about us.  Of course when we do veer off in separate directions it is amazing how vast the difference is LOL!  I almost went with this song instead.  It came to mind when m2c posted The Carpenters above.  Its an "Easy Listening" Grammy Award winning throwback to yesteryear, circa 1982, long before her techno club remixes..."    Raining On The Inside" by Amy Grant.  Would you have expected anything else from me? LOL!

    I would have never expected anything less. Of course!

    We do think alike. I had the unofficial song name to that, "Listen to the Rain" ready to drop on my phone to post. 
    So without any further to-do, I present the magnificent Barry Manilow in all his cheesy charm!

  • Great answer.  Have you liked any of their new stuff? Maybe 13 years was too long of a wait...I can't say I'm that into it.
