There is a line between being unnecessarily ALARMED and being intelligently cautious. Who decides where that line is? Why?

I rarely get unnecessarily alarmed because I am a cautious person by nature. I always try to live my life with a heightened sense of situational awareness. By nature, I am a very protective person. Not only of my family and friends but of anyone that may need help and protection. So in that sense, I'm the one who decides where that line in. I hope that made sense. :)

It does make sense ru. I think that's the "right" answer if I may be so bold. Allowing others to decide where that line is for ourselves makes no sense to me at all. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to you! :) Good job. Good answer. I agree! See we do have an area of similarity don't we?

    Common sense.

Common sense will tell a person if they should freak out or calmly talk precautions.  If a roaring lion is racing towards you, common sense says get the heck out of there.  If that lion is a mile away minding its own business, common sense says take precautions (,don't go near it; leave it alone).  Unfortunately, many people don't have common sense.  They see the lion a mile away and they want to get as close to it as they can (nice kitty).  They see it racing towards them and they want to take a selfie.

That tag line is a killer Shuhak. It is SO SPOT ON CORRECT. So of course the next question is WHY ARE THEY SO OBTUSE? Aren't we all born with the "flee or die" response? Maybe it's called something else. I've read that we are all born with a fear of falling or being dropped. How about being killed? Wouldn't running away from sure death that is heading straight for us be the NORMAL response? I often wonder about bravado and those who engage in EXTREME SPORTS. What makes them tick? A death wish? Living life "on the edge" and daring it to harm us? I dunno. Not me for sure. Thank you for your reply! :)

It's called the "fight or flight" response.

I guess Pence decides were that line is. On Tuesday he spent his day at a Republican fundraiser instead of leading the virus task force and he wiped his nose with his hand moments before he shook hands with top doctors at a virus conference' Cheers!
