Non-drinkers, how has your lack of consuming alcohol ever been problematic in your life, either for you or for any other person?

Yes!  It's harder than heck ro get drunk when you're a non-drinker.  And the boss NEVER believes me when I try to call in sick due to a hangover.

It has never been a problem.  The closest to a problem was at a high-school party and everyone kept telling me to "have a beer."  I eventually took one.  I took one sip and almost gagged.  The smell gags me.  I carried that hot beer around with me until I went home.  I've never had another sip of it.  The smell still gags me.       The smell still gags you?  Listen, high school was a long, long time ago, so I believe you can finally let go of that glass of warm beer you’ve been carrying around all these years. Sheesh.

It is a problem for the drinker as they don't understand why I won't join in on the "fun" as they call it.

That’s the same for me. I know that it’s possible to have fun without alcohol, and that having alcohol doesn’t automatically translate into having fun.

Wow, you need alcohol in order to make friends or to maintain friendships, and you think that I’m the one who has problems?   Lol.
