Why is it dogs will do their business in front of people or other dogs? Have they no shame? Shouldn't you give your dog privacy?

Maybe take a doggy curtain with you when you take him for a walk?

I'm not sure pack animals have any sense of shame/privacy.  That, seemingly, is an exclusive trait of higher critters (e.g., us :-)).

You should have your dog poop in your own yard for your eyes and smell only.

  • I think it's funny (odd) that cats do have that sense of 'shame'.

It's because your dog looks to you to protect him when he's most vulnerable...

Poo is a big part of a dog's social life.  They check each other out by sniffing each other's butts.  They also roll in fresh dog poo.  Unfortunately the poo roller was my Sheltie, and just had to be the long haired breed that wanted to roll in it, yeah.  He finally gave it up when he figured out he was going to get a bath every single time he rolled in it.

I find it amazing how so many people love dogs, but wont allow them to be dogs.
