Is it, like, possible for like some folks to, like, communicate without, like, every other word being "like?"

It sure used to be. Our discourse is under passive assault by the grammatically challenged and lazy, Stu. 

No better are the ones who punctuate every phrase with, ”ya know” under their breath.
