    Woops! It's not a huge Plot spoiler, this scene. I do like the movie a lot. :)

    It might be freakish for you. :)

    I've traveled to where they filmed this movie -- Bodega and Bodega Bay in California, USA -- it was my favorite part, by far, of my entire trip to that state - - and I went to a lot of the usual places - - San Francisco, Los Angeles --  but, somehow, standing on those steps outside this school building and seeing this yard beside the school -- really fun for me. (The building was not a school when I was there but it's the same building.

    i used to birdwatch a lot when i was younger; i had a binoculars and a big bird book for identification 

    my favs are ovenbird 

    and herons 

    but I also like magpies, orioles, and robins. I like seabirds and finches too
