Good :) I miss seeing That friend who text me that picture. her and I usually go for dinner and a drink at least twice a month before this stupid quarantine.
Yes. My best friend and I met when we were 11 years old and we've been friends for 63 years. There were periods where she and her family didn't live in New York and we maintained that friendship across the miles as though she never moved away. She is the one person in my life who has never judged me. I cannot imagine a time when she may not be in my life.
How did she decide that she likes you and decide to become your friend without making a judgement call finding you favorable? Judgement is not only a negative determination. People judge each other all the time. ~
That’s the same thing. The definition of the word “judgmental” is probably one of the most misunderstood and misused by people defending themselves and others. Being judgmental is the trait of using one’s judgement.
It merely means that a person decides what he or does agrees with, disagrees with, likes, dislikes, wants, does not want, etc. It does not mean negative decisions only.
Even using the definition that you provided, where does it specify positive or negative judgement?
The definition of judgmental is involved in using or making decisions, or making comments or observations about the moral importance of something."
So, if someone thinks that something you’ve done DOES meet their moral standard, he or she is still being judgmental, it’s just that he or she has judged you in a favorable manner.
If you replace the word judgment with synonyms such as decision or opinion, it might help to see that it refers to both favorable and unfavorable.
Yes, that’s what I’ve been staringstating all along: most people think that way, which is why I gave evidence to the contrary. ~
