    Miracles are what people for whom magic is a sufficient explanation, call random fortuitous events they lack the either the tools or the honesty to truly understand.

    Don, man... we were on such a roll and a high of magic because we do believe in miracles and they began happen all over the world.
    A person who had the virus began to feel better.
    A sister actually smiled at her brother for the first time in 5 years.
    The monster in the closet finally took up residency somewhere else.
    Coffee and tea were served.
    Somebody had toliet paper for the first time in weeks.
    Ugh!  Now, look?  It all stopped because you didn't want to believer for just a second, in a miracle...
    You can redeem yourself.  Just a little smile and things will turn back to little miracles happening every moment of every day in someone's world.

    I stand by my answer. Sorry, but I don’t see things through the same filters.

    While the events you describe are fortuitous, happy events, there isn’t anything particularly miraculous about them. 

    I can certainly appreciate what is meant when words like “miracle” and “magic” are applied, and they share essentially the same definition, but being subjective, it isn’t indicative that these things truly are either miracles or magic in reality.

    I respect and appreciate your understanding and application of the word, miracle.

    I also stand on this belief.  I would never want to stand against you in a court of law.
    I believe it would be a miracle if I won.


    Which is why I would like to further my investigation of putting my taxes on your side.. Now....

    Miracles of a sort but not supernatural miracles. 'Beneficial events' do happen that I have experienced a few times myself. i think everybody does experience some sort of significant 'beneficial events' during their lifetime. And mine might have been about 4 years ago a sharp kind of pain in my chest,  my friend insisted I go to emergency 'you must take chest pain seriously! ' she said. MRI scan showed no cause for pain but a 'shadow' in my lung turned out to be 1st stage cancer.  Life saver, perhaps.
